Our Story
Chabad of N.E. Hollywood & Dania was established in 2004, to serve the Jewish community of Hollywood. Chabad is a place where everyone is welcome, regardless of affiliation or prior level of knowledge. Its sole purpose is to create a warm, welcoming environment to explore and experience Judaism's warm and relevant spiritual inspirations in a non-judgmental and inviting atmosphere.
Since its inception, Chabad of N.E. Hollywood & Dania strives to meet the needs of the community with religious services, and social events, as well as an array of programming including: Preschool, Hebrew School, Summer Camp & much more.
Chabad of N.E. Hollywood & Dania is a local, independent and financially self-supporting entity. Every dollar that we receive comes from the generosity of people like you. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are fully tax deductible.
Meet the Tennenhaus's
Rabbi Mendy & Endi Tennenhaus moved to Hollywood and founded Chabad of N.E. Hollywood & Dania in 2004 & are leaders of the congregation.
Rabbi Mendy Tennenhaus was born in Hollywood & grew up in Hallandale before pursuing studies in Jewish thought and practice in yeshivos in France, Montreal, Sydney and received his rabbinical ordination in 770 in Brooklyn New York. His infectious optimism and joyful personality drives his commitment and dedication to his community.
Endi Tennenhaus was born in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in Thornhill, Ontario and is a passionate educator, teaching classes for women, as well as educating her own 7 children. She also has exquisite taste which shines through all the events at Chabad she plans.
